The Alaska State Fair Car Show will be held from noon to 4:00pm. The show field is just inside the fairgrounds at the yellow entrance gate. This year, we will have about twenty Fair admission tickets to distribute.

Meet at Mark Graber and Susan Garrett’s house in Palmer for refreshments starring at 10:00am. You will proceed to the Fairgrounds at about 11:45am.

The State Fair folks prefer that we arrive and leave as a group, but they won’t turn anyone away if you arrive separately. If you do prefer to head directly to the Fair, enter at the yellow gate from Inner Springer Loop at the back side of the Fairgrounds. The ticket staff will direct you to the show field. You may have to pay for admission if the free tickets are gone. Contact Mark when you arrive; he will try to get a ticket to you.

Directions to Mark and Susan’s place (15061 E Rocky Point Dr—not yet on google maps):

1. From Anchorage: Stay on the Glenn Hwy towards Palmer. At approx mile 39.5, turn right on Inner Springer Loop. (Note: This is the first traffic light as you approach Palmer; a Seventh-Day Adventist Church is on the corner.)

2. Proceed on Inner springer Loop for 2.0 miles until you reach a “T” in the road; turn left.

3. Proceed for approx 1/2 mile; turn right on E Rocky Point Dr. It is the first house on the left, gray with white trim. Lots of street parking.
