One of the goals of Antique Auto Mushers of Alaska is to preserve memories and the history of vintage, antique and classic automobiles in Alaska. To that end, this page is a virtual library of stories, photographs, videos and news articles featuring some of the adventures of our club, way back then to present.

Feel free to click through the content and enjoy a trip down memory lane. Perhaps it’ll inspire you to join our club and be a part of new adventures to follow. You can also see where we’re planning to show up next by visiting our Calendar.

Our club has a growing collection of videos and slides shows on YouTube. Click HERE to see a few of our past ZOOM meetings and some exceptional pieces put together by members of the club including Tom Cresap and Mike Wiedmer. Tom’s piece is called Bruce Campbell: Well Ain’t He Somthin’? Mike’s video is a highly entertaining video called A visit with the Professor.

KTUU Channel 2 - Alaska’s News Source sent two of their photojournalists along with our club as we toured Denali National Park in 2019. This is a great story with wonderful visuals. It’s sure to inspire your next trip to Denali, perhaps in your own antique ride.

Anchorage Daily News’ photojournalist Marc Lester told a great July 4, 2020 Independence Day Story as he followed our auto mushers through the streets of Anchorage during a pop-up “non-parade.” COVID 19 prevented large gatherings in downtown Anchorage, but our mushers managed to bring cheer to several neighborhoods from Anchorage to Chugiak with plenty of “awoogas” to share along the route.

In May 2019, AAMA toured to Homer for an annual visit, parade and car show with the Alaska A’s (Model A Car Club.) The Arctic Sounder Newspaper visited with club members and wrote up a nice story with photographs. We’re an intrepid group! Click HERE for that story and then come to one of our next meetings to say hi and join in on the fun.

Antique Automobile, a publication of Antique Automobile Club of America (AAMA is a regional member of AACA) occasionally features our club and stories. Join AACA and you’ll receive its bi-monthly glossy magazine. Most recently, Antique Automobile magazine published a story about our club’s trip to Hatcher Pass. Along for the ride were manifold meals wrapped in tin foil.
